Classes

Are you new to classes? We encourage you to try classes to change up your workout routine, to motivate you to take it to the next level and for plain old fashion fun!

Tips for class:

  • Don’t try and keep up with the instructor – they are teaching for all levels!
  • Keep your weights low or perhaps no weights at all just do the movements. Weight repetition can be taxing. Take it low & slow until you find “your” balance within the class.
  • Cardio can leave you huffing and puffing! That’s ok; simply march on the spot until you are ready to join in again.
  • Tell our certified instructors if you have any limitations so they can provide a modification.
  • Bring lots of water and a towel for sweating.

Classes are an amazing way to see your progress. It won’t be long before you realize you didn’t stop or you added a pound or two to your weights.

Strides Health & Fitness Club

Strides is excited to welcome Naturopathic Doctor, Dr. Leigh Fisher to our team of professionals. Dr. Leigh will be starting with us next week and available Monday through Friday. Stay tuned for more exciting information!! Welcome Dr. Fisher!!

From an early age, Dr. Leigh Fisher has had a strong desire to help others and be a part of the healthcare profession. That desire was strengthened while studying health science and biology at Dalhousie University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree. After discovering Naturopathic Medicine and realizing that health is so much more than the absence of disease, but an ability to adapt and thrive, she went on to obtain her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona. Her extensive training and hands on experience with patients has provided her with the ability to offer the best medical care with a natural approach. She sees the growing need in Nova Scotia for additional healthcare options and believes that every patient should have access to quality, as well as individualized health care, that puts them first. She treats every patient uniquely in order to optimize their health. Her primary focus is treating conditions related to women’s health including fertility, menstrual issues, menopause, and PCOS as well as GI issues, hormone imbalance and natural aesthetics.

Dr. Leigh Fisher is a professional member in good standing of the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND) and the Nova Scotia Association of Naturopathic Doctors (NSAND). She is also a non-practicing member in good standing of the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA).
