There is so much excitement about the possibility of fitness facilities opening back up! We are excited too and we want to make sure you know that we have been working tirelessly with several stakeholders to make sure when re-opening happens it is safe and healthy for everyone!

One of the things we want to stress now more than ever is that we as fitness professionals, need to be united as an industry in a path forward. Our industry is so diverse, and so much richer for it! The guidelines NSFA has proposed for moving forward reflect the fact that no one service, facility or person is more important than another in this unique and challenging new world.

We are an industry. We care about the public’s mental, physics and emotional health and are dedicated to serving our communities. Dear Members: Though the Government announced today that fitness facilities can reopen as of June 5th, we (gym owners), still do not have approved guidelines in place to reopen. We MUST have these in order to train our staff correctly and make important decisions for this reopening process. Please be patient with us and watch for our updates as we navigate through this exciting but awkward time.
